Strategic Super Power of TreesĀ

Why do we feel calmer among Trees? šŸ’” Attention Restoration Theory (ART) is the Theory that Nature can 'reset' or 'restore' mental focus. (Kaplan's ART). This allows us to see things from a different perspective and literally look at problems as an observer, allowing us to develop strategy and solutions. When we combine movement like walking or running:

  • Seratonin levels go up (mood stabiliser)
  • Endorphins are released (Mood Lifter)
  • Cortisol levels (stress hormone) go down

Time in Nature activates the parasympathetic nervous system responsible for slowing breathing and calming the body. It gets us out of our heads and prevents the cycle of negative thinking.

A blank canvas for Strategy and Problem Solving...

We need to connect with Nature for equilibrium. It's like a Magic Blank Canvas for Strategy and Problem Solving. There are some other scientific factors too: Green light is easy on the eyes. Its wavelength is around 520-540nm and more comfortable than higher energy blue light at around 380-480nm, so its a welcome break from the screens.

Trees are sooooo Amazing. Wild Trees have Families and help each other grow and repair via their root system.

I could go on and on......Yes, I LOVE TREES!
